The location allows for access to many activities on the Garden Route. Some of the many Activities in the area include: Cango Caves - Oudtshoorn - The Cango Caves are a place of great natural beauty, and a national monument. Sensible footwear and light clothing are recommended. Tours are led by experienced and knowledgeable guides designated according to length and difficulty. Standard Tours (60 minutes) : 9.00 - 16.00, commence on the hour. Adventure Tours (90 minutes) : 9.30 - 15.30, commence on the half hour. The Cango Caves are open daily except Christmas Day. Ostrich Farms (Safari) - Oudtshoorn - Established as a tourist-attraction for over 40 years. You will be taken on an unfortgettable tour with one of our multi-lingual, well-informed guides and learn more about these remarkable birds and their fascinating nature. Cango Wildlife Ranch - Oudtshoorn - Go into the crocodile enclosures, visit the snake park and catch a bird's eye view of magnificent big cats in their large natural enclosures. These include the endangered cheetah, rare white Bengal tigers, lions, jaguars and puma. For an additional nominal fee, visitors (16 years and older) can experience the thrill of touching hand raised cheetahs. There are also wild dogs, pygmy hippos, suricates, emus, wallabies, raccoons, flamingos, peacocks, bat eared foxes and the capybara as well as a children's farmyard where young and old can meet a host of friendly hand raised creatures.
